白蝋に、ほんの少しの麻炭を重ね、
白と黒のあわいにある、月影を思わせる色に仕立てました。
添えたのは、檜の香りをほのかに纏わせたお香。
細い煙が、ゆっくりと立ちのぼり、夜の空気へとほどけていく。
その向こうで揺れる炎は、雲間に浮かぶ月のように、
淡く、朧げに姿を見せる。
見えすぎないからこそ、感じられるものがある。
答えを探さず、ただ、眺める。
月も、煙も、その姿をとどめることなく、ゆっくりと夜に溶けていく。
朧月は、心の輪郭をほどくための和蝋燭です。

A touch of hemp charcoal is layered over white wax, creating a shade between white and black — reminiscent of the moon seen through haze.
Paired with it is incense, delicately scented with hinoki.
A slender trail of smoke rises slowly, dissolving into the night air.
Beyond it, the flame flickers like the moon appearing through clouds — pale and hazy.
Some things can only be felt when they are not entirely seen.
There is no need to search for an answer.
Simply watch.
The moon and the smoke, neither holding its form, slowly dissolve into the night.
Oborogetsu is a warousoku for softening the edges of the mind.
